Prof Zuzana Gdovinová is the Professor of Neurology at Charles University in Prague and Head of the Department of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, P.J. Šafárik University and University Hospital L. Pasteur in Košice, Slovakia. She is co-chair of the Centre of Excellence for Research of Atherosclerosis.
Její výzkum se zaměřuje na cerebrovaskulární poruchy a demenci. She has published one monograph, 6 teaching books (editor or co-editor), 107 peer reviewed articles registered in WoS, with 1804 citations (without self citaions) in WoS and SCOPUS, H-index 26. She was investigator or coinvestigator of 13 research projects, and is reviewer for international journals. She is the President of the Slovak Neurological Society, and a member of the board of the Slovak Stroke Society. She is also national SITS coordinator, national Angels coordinator and one of national coordinators for the Stroke ActionPlan Europe (SAP-E). She is a member of the stroke panel of the European Academy of Neurology and a member of Brain and Heart Council of European Stroke Organisation. She has been a Fellow of the European Stroke Society since 2015, and a Fellow of European Academy of Neurology since 2018. She is on the Editorial board of the European Stroke Journal, and Czech and Slovak Neurology and Neurosurgery. In 2000-2003 and 2007-2010 she was vice-dean for international relations at Faculty of Medicine, P.J. Šafárik University Košice.
She has been an invited speaker or convenor at ESOC and WSC, and participated at RCTs (RESPECT-ESUS, ELAN, ENRICH-AF, EVOKE, EVOKE+, LIBREXIA).
